| Beverly has been amusing the gods since 1940. Her path of conscious living and spiritual growth has led her through worldwide travels, yoga and T'ai Chi Chih practices, two marriages and the raising of a daughter and a son in the Sandia Mountains outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Beverly earned her Clinical Herbalist certification through both Michael Moore’s Southwest School of Botanical Medicine in 1993 and Dr. Tieraona Low Dog’s New Mexico Herb Institute in 1994. But rather than practice in a clinical setting, she found her greatest joy in being with the medicinal plants themselves— either in her own garden, or in your garden, or in the greater garden of Nature. Her first classes were herb walks sponsored by Wild Oats, the natural food markets, in 1994. Additionally, Beverly became an accredited T’ai Chi Chih teacher in 1994 and has since shared her wisdom and skills with Elderhostel, elementary school students, church groups, UNM Continuing Education, rehabilitation facilities, spiritual retreat centers, senior retirement residences, Rape Crisis—teaching an average of four classes a week. In 1990 during a period of intense transition, Beverly created a necklace to symbolize her life journey and make some sense of it. A few years later this became her Life Journey Necklace Workshop, taught through the UNM Continuing Education and for small groups locally as well as nationally. Regardless of what she’s teaching or where, she realizes the essence of it all is balance. We are, each of us, an extraordinary and unique combination of elements—physical, spiritual, mental and emotional. Our uniqueness is our gift to the world. We are better able to recognize and appreciate this gift when we are in good health and in balance. Beverly is here to help you understand what you need to stay healthy—and to support you in applying this understanding. |
